Here’s how Payless Bins evolved from a modest start-up into one of the region’s most trusted skip bin providers.

Back in 1988, Ross and Michelle McGregor launched Payless Bins. What started out as a small, family-owned and operated waste disposal business with a truck and ten bins quickly grew and evolved into a trusted brand in Auckland.

From day one, Ross and Michelle have been more than just business owners.

Ross is deeply involved in the daily operations and oversees every job. Whilst he doesn't step in as the relief driver that often anymore, he applies decades of learning to ensure that deliveries run smoothly and customers are getting everything they've been promised.

Michelle, on the other hand, is the backbone of the office. She manages administration with efficiency and care, and works closely with external suppliers and providers to ensure the business runs smoothly and is well-positioned for the future.

This close partnership, rooted in trust and shared values, has kept Payless Bins grounded as it has grown.

Over the last four decades, Auckland has seen what can only be described as extraordinary growth. This, in turn, has dramatically increased Auckland's waste management requirements, and it was in that environment that the Payless Bin business scaled to meet demand. Today, their fleet covers everything from quick household clearouts to heavy-duty hardfill jobs, but without losing the same personalised service they started with.
